Tiers 1 and 2: postgraduate certificates and diplomas

From 12 October 2010, the UKBA intends to introduce yet another new requirement for applications to work in the UK within the Points Based System (PBS).

Subsequent to the changes which are being introduced into Tier 1 (General), Tier 1 (Entrepreneur), and any Tier 2 category of the PBS it will be required that in addition to a postgraduate certificate or diploma awarded by a UK listed body in order to score points for qualifications or English language skills, applicants must include a letter of equivalency issued by UK NARIC with their application.

If applicants do not follow the suggested approach, the decision on their application may be delayed and/or a negative decision may be taken by the UKBA in the matter.
